Winter in Shinshu, the region that is home to the facility where all Grand Seiko Spring Drive watches are created, offers a rich variety of sights that are both ephemeral and lastingly memorable. One such is Shizuri-Yuki, when snow spills down from the branches of trees, creating a shimmering cascade of light. The dial has the bright and rich texture of fresh snow and a line of diamonds on the side of the case evoke the brilliance of the snow as it falls. The diamonds, which are set by hand by the highly skilled craftsmen and women in the Shinshu Watch Studio, are arranged by size to follow exactly the line of the case and to complete the beautiful, flowing effect.
