The original 62GS launched in 1967 and debuted Grand Seiko’s first automatic movement, becoming one of Grand Seiko’s most memorable timepieces. Reinterpreting this timeless design, this model uses a dial that expresses the unique seasonal changes of Japan. It evokes hana-ikada, the beautiful “flower raft” scene in which cherry blossom petals are swept from their branches by spring breezes before settling on river surfaces. As with the original 62GS, a bezel-free construction grants the dial an expansive appearance, with the Zaratsu polishing technique creating a striking, multifaceted case design.
