Explore the Dark Side Honouring Omega's legacy of space exploration, this Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon features a 44.25 mm case in polished-brushed black ceramic. The polished bezel is also made from black ceramic and features a tachymeter scale in Liquidmetal™. Beneath the front sapphire crystal, the ceramic dial has been sand-blasted by laser and includes a small-seconds display at 9H, and a 60-minute and 12-hour recorder at 3H. The hour and minute hands, as well as the bevelled indexes, are all blackened and filled with black Super-LumiNova (green emission). The central chronograph hand is red varnished for a distinctive appearance. Visible through the caseback, Omega's manual-winding Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 9908 has been given a special “black edition” finish, which includes stealthy, matte-blackened plates and bridges, as well as black varnished engravings.
